On October 30, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Economy of Abkhazia, Kristina Ozgan, and the Minister of Economic Development of Russia, Maxim Reshetnikov, signed an investment agreement. The agreement provides for the implementation of investment projects by Russian companies on the territory of Abkhazia.

Caucasus Investment Forum-2024 was held in Grozny, the Chechen Republic. Representatives of the occupied regions also took part in the forum.

On August 2, the joint working group of the de facto Republic of Abkhazia and the Russian Federation held a meeting on the implementation of the program for the formation of a single social and economic space.

The de facto Minister of Economy of Abkhazia, Kristina Ozgan, met with the Russian Minister of Economic Development, Maxim Reshetnikov, and his deputy, Dmitri Volvach.

The de facto president of Abkhazia, Aslan Bzhania, held an extended meeting related to the implementation of the investment program promoting the social and economic development of the “Republic” of Abkhazia in 2020-2022.

In 2022, a total of RUB 1.160 billion will be spent under the investment program supporting the socio-economic development of the Tskhinvali region. As planned, 20 Russian-funded events will take place this year, including the construction of multi-apartment houses, the improvement of up to ten streets, the reconstruction of a bridge, the construction of an intercity road, as well as educational and social infrastructure.

The “President” of Abkhazia, Aslan Bzhania, paid an inspection visit to Ochamchire where he familiarized himself with the construction of facilities under the investment program promoting the socio-economic development of the region. The de facto president inspected the lighting works of the Sokhumi-Ochamchire highway.

The de facto Prime Minister of the Tskhinvali region, Gennady Bekoev inspected the construction of a children's camp in the village of Mzivi. It should be noted that a tourist base of international importance operated in this area during the Soviet times.

Within the framework of the 2020-2022 investment program promoting the socio-economic development of the Tskhinvali region (financed by Russia), the Bado company is building a children's camp in the Java region. Foundations of four cottages were laid. In addition to residential premises, the complex will include an administrative building, an amphitheater, and a campfire.

As part of the Russian investment program, an overhaul was started of Lenin street, one of the central streets in the Kvaisa settlement, the Tskhinvali region. The length of the street is 980 meters.

The de facto President of Abkhazia, Aslan Bzhania, announced the construction of a sanatorium-resort facility in Pitsunda. The sanatorium will be the largest in Abkhazia and its construction will be funded by Russian investors. 

The first five-story residential complex with 75 apartments was built on the territory of the former Tskhinvali textile factory under the Russian investment program for 2020-2022.
