• Sergey Medvedev was born on October 22, 1979, in Prague, Czechoslovakia.
• He received military education at the Military Academy of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
• Since 2022, following the start of Russia’s full-scale military aggression in Ukraine, he has been participating in military operations. His call sign is “Ermak.”

Military Career:

• Throughout his long military career, Medvedev has held various command and staff positions.
• In October 2023, he was appointed as the commander of the 58th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation. Prior to this, he served as the chief of staff of the 58th Army. During this period, he was awarded the rank of Major General. Following the start of Russia's full-scale military aggression in Ukraine in 2022, he became the fourth commander of the 58th Army, succeeding Denis Liaymin in this role.
