Film festival Хрустальный источникъ was held in Tskhinvali on Russia Day. The famous Russian actress, Nonna Grishaeva, and the President of the film festival, Euclid Kurdzidis, visited the region within the framework of the festival. The event was organized by the Rossotrudnichestvo office, the “Ministry” of Culture and the Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots in the Tskhinvali region.

Sergey Skvortsov, the Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo office in the Tskhinvali region, Marat Kulakhmetov, the Russia’s Ambassador, Zhana Zaseeva, the “Minister” of Culture, representatives of the de facto government and others attended the event. Skvortsov noted that Rossotrudnichestvo is doing a lot to familiarize people who do not have the opportunity to visit Russia with Russian cinema and culture.

“By holding the festival, Russia once again showed its support to the Tskhinvali region in all spheres,” said Sergey Skvortsov at a press conference later.
