On December 25, 2018, the 17th session of the Inter-governmental Committee on socio-economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and de facto Republic of Abkhazia was held in Moscow. 

At the session issues related to the investment program for 2017-2019 progress and formation of investment program for 2020-2022. Investment program project for 2020-2022 promoting socio-economic development of Abkhazia, will be worked out by February 15, 2019.

For 10 years since 2008, financial assistance from Russia to Abkhazia has amounted 40 billion RUB.
