Representatives from unrecognized republics and Russian Federation, as observers, attended illegitimate parliamentary elections held in Tskhinvali on June 9, 2019. Anatoly Bibilov, de facto leader of the Region, met with the guests as well.

Representatives of Self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, de facto Republic of Transnistria and Nicaragua arrived in Tskhinvali to observe illegitimate elections. From Russia, State Duma and Federation Council sent representatives. Federation Council was represented by Sergey Tsekov, delegation lead, member of the  Committee on Foreign Affairs, and Olga Kovitidi, member of Defence and Security Committee.

Delegation of State Duma was represented by Iuri Smirnoff, member of the Committee on Physical Education, Sports, Tourism and Youth Affairs, and Kazbek Taisaev, member of the Committee for CIS, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots.
