On February 16, the de facto Minister of Internal Affairs of Abkhazia, Robert Kiut, met with the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and the State Secretary of Russia, Igor Zubov, in Moscow. The meeting discussed issues of cooperation between the “agencies.”

After the meeting with Zubov, Kiut met with Andrey Khrapov, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia. At the meeting, the parties discussed the issue of cooperation and coordination in the search for persons wanted by law enforcement agencies. Also, the discussion touched upon the issue of combating the spread of narcotic substances. Special attention was paid to the security of the International Youth Festival which will be held in the Sirius Federal Territory of Russia in February.
