According to Dmitry Peskov, Presidential Press Secretary of Russian Federation, at the “Normandy Format“ Discussions, at the level of assistants to the heads of states, Russia will be presented either by Iuri Ushakov or Vladislav Surkov. The meeting is planned on July 12.

Surkov’s participation at the “Normandy Format“ was announced by Aleksey Chesnakov, Director of the Political Conjuncture Center and close expert to Surkov. The mentioned was confirmed by Mikhail Arutunov, Deputy to Head of Directorate for Cross-Border Cooperation. The Directorate is under Surkov’s curatorship.

It is noteworthy that rumours on Surkov’s resignation from Kremlin have been spread several times in the past. However Babich was appointed on the position of Deputy Minister of Economic Development.
