According to Valery Bganba, de facto Prime-Minister of Abkhazia, Russia will allocate 4.5 billion RUB for socio-economic development of Abkhazia. Abkhazia will receive financial assistance in line with the new program for socio-economic development of Abkhazia in 2020-2022.

Specific changes, concerning energy direction, have been applied to the 2017-2019 program. According to the current year program, 350 million RUB will be spent in energy direction, primarily on the substation reconstruction in the village of Bzip, and on transformers replacement in Gagra and Gudauta regions.

The issues will be discussed at the session of the inter-governmental commission of Russia-Abkhazia. The session will be held either in June or early July.
