Russian energy company “Rosneft“ completed construction of the first filling station in Tskhinvali Region. Construction of the second station will be completed in 2-3 months. At this stage only two filling stations construction is planned in Tskhinvali. One station is located at the north exit of Tskhinvali, on the opposite side of meat factory “Rastdon“, and another – in the district of “Neftebaz“.

According to Genadi Bekoev, de facto Vice-Premier and Minister of Economy of Tskhinvali Region, filling stations construction is new investment in the economy of Tskhinvali Region and guaranteed quality fuel.

Construction issue was agreed between Anatoly Bibilov, de facto President of Tskhinvali Region, and Igor Sechin, “Rosneft“ Executive Director, during their meeting in 2017. From 2014, “Iugosetneftproduct“ is importing oil products from Russia to Tskhinvali Region.
