Raul Khajimba, de facto president of Abkhazia, after the winning illegitimate presidential elections, paid first visit to the Republic of Adygea. During the one-day visit, Khajimba met with Murat Kumpilov, Head of the Republic and took part in a solemn event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Aslan Jamirov, the first President of Adygea.

This was Khajimba’s third visit to Adygea, before he visited the republic in 2015 and 2017. Khajimba has visited other republics of the North Caucasus, twice - Karachai-Cherkessia (2015 and 2016) and Kabardino-Balkaria (2016 and 2017), and once the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania, in 2017.
