On December 18, 2018, Vadim Chekha, Head of the Federal Agency for CIS Countries, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Affairs representation in Abkhazia, held a press conference.

At the meeting with journalists, Chekha summarized the Agency activities in Abkhazia since its foundation (December 18, 2009). The Agency was mainly focusing on culture and education, training the leaders.
