Cooperation with Russia in the Agriculture was Discussed in Abkhazia

meeting of specialists in the agricultural sector of Abkhazia and Russia was held at the de facto government of Abkhazia. The extended meeting was chaired by Beslan Jopua, the de facto First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture of Abkhazia, and Jambulat Khatuov, the Russian Deputy Minister of Agriculture.

The meeting focused on issues such as the state of the agro sector, the prospects for creating new agricultural production facilities, increasing the quality of yields and organizing joint measures to combat plant pests. The Abkhaz side also spoke about the measures taken against the Asian bugs, which were implemented with the support of Russia in recent years.

Previously, the delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia visited the enterprises of the agro-industrial complex of Abkhazia and held expert consultations with agricultural producers in the region. The de facto president of Abkhazia, Aslan Bzhania, also met with Jambulat Khatuov.
