Russian 7th Military Base Mining-Engineering unit in Abkhazia participated in tactical exercises and cleared 10 000 sq/m minefield.

Exercise participants used modern means of mine detection and protection, such as: explosive device finder „Korshun“, selective portable induction mine detector (ИМПС) and „Sokol“ protection kits. More than 1500 servicemen and up to 400 units of military equipment were involved in the exercises.
