Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Were Used During Exercises in Tskhinvali

Military servicemen of the 4th military base of the Russian Federation in the Tskhinvali region used the Granat-1 unmanned aerial vehicles during exercises which were held at the Dzartsemi military training ground.

At the initial stage of the exercise, the military discovered combat equipment of a conventional enemy and transmitted coordinates of the location to a command post. The Gvozdika 122mm self-propelled howitzers and the Grad multiple rocket launchers were used to destroy targets.

The Granat-1 UAVs are produced by the Russian Federation. These devices have a compact design, they are easy to use and transport. They are mainly used for area reconnaissance, surveillance and patrolling, etc.
