On October 5, the State Secretary of the Union State of Russia and Belarus, Dmitry Mezentsev, met with Inal Ardzinba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the de facto Republic of Abkhazia.

At the meeting, the “parties” discussed the readiness of de facto Abkhazia for relations with representatives of Russia and Belarus. The interest of the Abkhazian “party” towards the Union State as a platform for international integration was highlighted. In addition, the meeting reviewed the visit of the President of Belarus, Aleksander Lukashenko, to the de facto Republic of Abkhazia.
