Yuriy Lushnikov

Representative of the Russian Customs Service in the Tskhinvali Region (former)

General Biographical Information

  • Lushnikov was born on May 12, 1968 in the city of Gorky (Nizhny Novgorod since 1990), Russian SFSR, Soviet Union.
  • In 1998, he graduated from the Moscow State Open University, majoring in jurisprudence.

Professional Career

  • Lushnikov started his career in the Customs Service in August 1992. He was appointed to the position of inspector in the Nizhny Novgorod Customs of the Volga Customs Administration and passed all career stages at the regional level.
  • In 2006, he was appointed as the First Deputy Head of the Volga Customs Administration.
  • From April 2010 to June 2013, he was the First Representative of the Customs Service of the Russian Federation in the Tskhinvali region. The Customs Service office in the Tskhinvali region was established in January 2011. On January 26, 2011, Lushnikov held a press conference on this issue in Tskhinvali. Previously, in December 2010, Russia and the de facto republic of the Tskhinvali region signed an “interstate” agreement on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs affairs.
  • On March 4, 2014, Lushnikov was appointed as the Head of the Nizhny Novgorod Customs, and as the Head of the Novorossiysk Customs on August 6, 2021. At the moment, Lushnikov is Major General of the Customs Service.
