Federal budget draft for 2020-2022 was submitted at the State Duma of the Russian Federation. The draft envisages assistance to Tskhinvali Region and Abkhazia.
On September 9, 2019, at the State Duma of Russian Federation, working group was established to study the appeal from de facto parliament of Tskhinvali Region. The group will be chaired by Viktor Vodolatsky, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Commonwealth of Independent States, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots.
On September 9, 2019, working group was established at the State Duma of Russian Federation which will further study appeal from de facto Parliament of Tskhinvali Region. As Ivan Melnikov, the First Vice-Speaker of the State Duma, reported, the group will be chaired by Viktor Vodolatsky, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Commonwealth of Independent States, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots.
De facto parliament of Tskhinvali Region appealed to the State Duma and the Federation Council of Russian Federation with the issue of Georgian checkpoint opening close to the village Tsnelisi.
Raul Khajimba, de facto President of Abkhazia, hosted Alexandr Yushenko, MP of the State Duma of Russian Federation, member of Communist Party. Khajimba thanked Russian MP for his support to Abkhazia and efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

Members of the State Duma supported Volodin's statement to thoroughly study Tskhinvali appeal.

The President of the Russian Federation presented the draft of amendments to the Agreement on Alliance and Integration (March 18, 2015) between the Russian Federation and Tskhinvali Region to the State Duma for ratification. The amendment implies cancelling of existing restrictions on the duration of stay on the territories of Russia and Tskhinvali Region for the citizens.
