On December 12, at the invitation of the Chairman of the Russian Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, a delegation of the de facto parliament of Abkhazia took part in the 4th International Conference “The role of the interaction between blocs and factions of political parties in inter-parliamentary cooperation of the CIS countries” which was held in Moscow.

Lasha Ashuba, the Speaker of the Parliament of the de facto republic of Abkhazia, held a working meeting in the Russian State Duma. Ashuba met with the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, Petr Tolstoy, and the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, Kazbek Taisayev.

A member of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Kazbek Taisayev, paid a working visit to Abkhazia. He is the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots of the State Duma and the Secretary of the Central Committee of the Russian Communist Party.

The Russian parliamentary delegation visited the Tskhinvali region. The delegation is chaired by Konstantin Kosachev, the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federal Council. Members of the delegation are Krim Kazanakov, Oleg Seleznyov, and Kazbek Taisayev,

On September 20, Kazbek Taisayev, a member of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, attended celebration dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the recognition of the de facto republic of South Ossetia, held in the Tskhinvali region.
