Engineers of the 58th army of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation participated in tactical-special exercises. During the exercises, the engineers practiced driving heavy armoured equipment.
Winter exercises started at the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation. According to Vadim Astafyev, head of the Press Service of the Russian Federation Southern Military District, more than 50 infrastructural projects have been implemented at the 7th Military Base of the Russian Federation during last 4 years. As Astafyev stated construction was conducted using modern technologies and environmentally friendly construction materials.
Radiation and chemical reconnaissance specialists of Southern Military District of Russian Federation exercised protective measures against conditional enemy used weapons of mass destruction.
Tactical exercises carried out at Tsebelda and Nagvalou military polygons in Abkhazia under instruction of the Commander of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation Aleksandr Dvornikov. In the exercises participated aviation and fleet as well.
In Southern Military District of Russian Federation – on the territory of Russia, Armenia, annexed Crimea and the occupied regions of Georgia, field trainings will be held with the participation of 10 thousand gunners and up to 3,000 units of equipment. Training will take place along 20 military polygons and will last for a month.
