On May 2, 2019, Timur Dziba, Mufti of the Spiritual board of Abkhazian Muslims and Askarbia Kardanov, Mufti of the Spiritual board of Adygea Republic and Krasnodar Krai Muslims signed an agreement on cooperation at the mosque of Maykop city. On April 30, 2019, the 10th anniversary of the foundation of Border Division of Security Federal Service, Russian Federation, was celebrated in Tskhinvali Region and Abkhazia. The celebrating event was held in Tskhinvali at Cinema and Concert Hall "Chermen", a solemn meeting (rally) took place in Sokhumi as well.

On April 22-24, 2019, Russian Delegation visited Tskhinvali Region. Maksim Smirnov, representative of the Ministry of North Caucasus Affairs of the Russian Federation, gave a speech and talked about implementation of Investment Program promoting Tskhinvali Region Socio-Economic development.

Group of doctors of the Russian Federal Medical-Biological Agency  continue medical check-ups for the population of Abkhazia. The general check-ups for the population of Abkhazia started on April 5, 2019, from Gali district, where the group of doctors conducted medical examination for up to 2000 citizens. Totally 1700 patients underwent medical examinations in Tkvarcheli District.

Ibragim Gaseev, de facto Minister of Defense of Tskhinvali Region, attended conference on security issues in Moscow. He give a speech at the plenary session– “International Peacekeeping: new approaches and military cooperation“.

On April 22, 2019, Inter-Agency Delegation of the Russian Federation chaired by Rashid Nurgaliyev, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council, paid three day working visit to Tskhinvali Region. Visit of the Delegation was the result of the March 6, 2019 meeting held in Moscow between Vladimer Putin, President of the Russian Federation, and Anatoly Bibilov, de facto President of Tskhinvali Region.

Bomb squad of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation for the fourth time will visit Tskhinvali Region with humanitarian mission. The specialists of “Leader“ - the Center of Especially Risky Rescue Operations under the Ministry will clear Tskhinvali Region territories of mines.

On April 22, 2019, in Sukhumi was held  the first meeting of inter-agency working group on cooperation in investment field between Russia and Abkhazia. The head of the working group from Abkhazian side was Adgur Ardzinba, de facto Minister of Economy and from Russian side Igor Koshin, Deputy Minister of North Caucasus Affairs.

Russian servicemen in Abkhazia together with the units of de facto Ministry of Defence of Abkhazia started command-post exercise. For the first time, within the frame of the exercise personal staff will be divided into two opposing groups and during the week conduct conditional combat operation in mountainous and wooded areas. Aviation and Black Sea fleet will also participate in the exercise.

On April 19, 2019, the 20th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on social-economic cooperation between Russian Federation and Tskhinvali Region was held in Tskhinvali. The Investment Program supporting social-economic development of Tskhinvali Region for 2020-2022 was approved at the meeting.
